Creative Transition #3

In Rob Hopkins ‘Transition Handbook’, he emphasises the value of creativity, creative people and artists and bringing them into the process of Transition.

“(Tom Atlee)… talks of the potential power of bringing together activists, creative writers and journalists to form ‘think tanks’ that create new stories for our times. … we should be looking to draw in the novelists, poets, artists and storytellers. The telling of new stories is central”. p.94

I’m interested in the idea of supporting people as whole to acknowledge their creativity, especially when understood in its widest sense: solving problems, making connections (between the apparently unconnected), using your imagination, thinking out of the box etc. (See blog entry -June 18 2010).
